He possesses over 35 years of Finance, Operations and General management experience. 10 years in the manufacturing and distribution of the heavily regulated medical device and pharma industries, locally and internationally. 20 years in various financial roles in various industries at board level, locally and internationally. I was one of the founding members of a four businesses that is still in operation today. I was responsible for the Business Development, Financial, Operational and Technology solutions for these businesses which included acquisitions of a few businesses including the acquisition of Clarigen Ltd, an Irish technology company. This strongly enhanced my acumen in overall Business Solutions Management.
I bring a strong strategic and focused approach to delivering business solutions that make significant impacts by optimizing brand value; increasing financial returns and minimizing risk. I have a well established network in small, medium and large companies. I am an avid trail runner and has completed several ultra trail and road races.
Peet has strong links to Ireland. He lived and worked in Ireland with his family for 5 years and was Head of Projects responsible for the construction and setup of the Abbott Laboratories manufacturing facility in the Longford town just off the N4 in Longford County. They recruited over 800 staff in that period. Returning to South Africa after the facility was completed and operational, he continues to maintain strong business and personal relationships with friends and business associates in Ireland. He manages the Blue Future Consultancy firm that provides management and HR consulting and outsourced services to clients. Blue Future is an approved service provider for Enterprise Ireland and have looked after their recruitment and office and payroll needs and services in Johannesburg for the last 10+ years. Blue Future also have a partnership with Performance metrics, an Irish SAAS business where we support the development and business and marketing and sales activities of their Personnel performance management applications in Africa. Blue Connect, their Recruitment division is responsible for supporting Construction and Healthcare companies in Ireland and the UK. We do not believe in a one-size fits all approach and our advice and solutions will therefore be adaptable and flexible according to your needs and requirements.
Fred is an accomplished senior executive bringing a unique skillset to the development of the Blue Future Consultancy Firm. Having both lived and worked for long periods in Europe and Africa he has gained extensive global export experience, as well as achieving success in the development and growth of SME’s. As a founder and Managing Director of an Irish based SME he has gained Operations, Financial and Human Resource Management expertise. As Director – Sub-Sahara Africa, Enterprise Ireland he was responsible for the growth of Irish exports to Africa and has gained over a 10-year period an in-depth knowledge of doing business in Africa. He is currently running his own consultancy business advising companies on the “Africa – Now” business opportunity.
